In this flash animation tutorial we will make a great and simple text animation, where some text is falling down into place.
So lets get started, with the text tool just type in the text you want to apply this effect to.
Right click the text and choose break apart, this should split the text up into separate letters shapes.
Select all the text shapes, right click and choose distribute to layers.

Now move all the letter up, just above where the stage starts as shown below.

In the timeline, select frame 10 (or 15 depending how fast you want this effect to be) for all the layers, by click and dragging down, the create a new keyframe, by right clicking.

Now every text letters should be in its own layer.
The follow procedure we will need to repeat for each letter in the layers panel, but I will only write it once :-) then you have to apply it to all the other layers.
For each text letter, select the frame 10 (or 15) and drag the letter down on center of the stage.
Then right click between frame 1 and 10, choose motion tween, now you should see all the letters slowly move down into place.
The last thing is to move the timeline order of the letters, so everything is not happing at the same time.
So keep the first layer at its place, but for layer two, select all the frames in the timeline, and drag them to the right as shown below.

As you can see, now the second letter first starts moving when the first letter is half way done. Repeat this step for the rest of the letters like shown below.

As you might see, when the letters has fallen down, they disappear, so locate the frame where the animation is done, (for me that is frame 106) select all the layers frame at frame 106 like shown below, right click and choose insert keyframe.

And we are done, yes I know, the description might look a bit confusing, but when you have read it a couple of times, you should understand what I mean :-)
